Dr. Irving Bronsky has a license to practice medicine in Israel and in two states in the U.S. (New York and Iowa.) He is recognized, in Israel and the United States, as a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, psychotherapist, teacher, and speaker. He has been living and working in Israel since 1966. An American who has commuted between the U.S. and Israel for more than 34 years, he founded the Bronsky Psychotherapy Institute in Haifa. In the Institute, as well as in private practice, he has treated thousands of people in individual and group settings, as well as supervised and trained mental health professionals. Between 1990 and 1993 he was the Clinical Director of the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder program at the Tuscaloosa, Alabama, V.A. Medical Center, during which time it was one of the foremost treatment centers in the U.S. the neglected and rejected veterans of the Vietnam War. While serving as director of the program, Dr. Bronsky also served as Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Alabama Medical School in Tuscaloosa. He is a member in good standing in the Israel Medical Association, the Israel Psychiatric Association, The American Psychiatric Association, The American Psychotherapy Association and the American Academy of Psychoanalysis. Dr. Bronsky has led teaching seminars and workshops at numerous institutions and organizations in Europe and the United States, including: the British Royal Society of Medical Hypnosis, Royal Danish Society of Psychotherapy and Hypnosis, Max Planck Psychiatric Institute (Munich, Germany) and the Hungarian Psychiatric Association in Budapest. He has written four books and articles for psychiatric magazines .
